Loretta Lynn's Gooey Cake

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (18 ounce) box german chocolate cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water (or as called for in the directions)
  • 3 eggs (or as called for in the directions)
  • 1/2 cup oil (or as called for in the directions)
  • 1 cup cool whip
  • 3 heath candy bars, frozen
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 ounces caramel topping

Recipe

  • 1 prepare and bake cake according to package directions,
  • 2 using a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
  • 3 while warm, poke holes halfway into cake about 1 inch apart.
  • 4 pour sweetened condensed milk into holes.
  • 5 pour caramel topping over entire cake and chill in the refrigerator.
  • 6 when cake is cool, top it with cool whip and crushed heath candy.
  • 7 refrigerate overnight before serving.
