- 3 large bananas
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy sweet cream
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 sliced peeled bananas lenghthwise. sautee in butter until light brown (they will smell wonderful). drain and set in shallow cake pan.
- 2 spread a thin layer of sugar (not all!) evenly over bananas.
- 3 whip cream together with remaining ingredients.
- 4 spread cream on bananas.
- 5 chill at least one hour.
- 6 serve cold.
