Glazed Almond Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°; prepare 12-cup bundt pan using butter and flour or baker’s joy; set aside.
  • 2 mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground almonds together; set aside.
  • 3 in a big bowl, beat the butter with 1 ½ cups sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 4 beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • 5 stir in the almond and vanilla extracts.
  • 6 stir in the flour mixture alternating with the milk, mixing only until blended; pour batter into prepared pan.
  • 7 bake for 60-70 minutes or until a pick comes out clean.
