Chris' Sour Cream Pound Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2 prepare tube pan or bundt pan by spraying with pam and lightly flouring.
  • 3 in mixing bowl combine all ingredients and beat at low speed of mixer until moistened.
  • 4 beat at medium speed for 4 minutes, scraping sides of bowl as needed.
  • 5 spoon evenly (batter is thick) into prepared pan and bake in center of oven until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
