Make Ahead Brown Sugar And Spice Cake Mix

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 1/2 cup non-fat powdered milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 16 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces and chilled (2 sticks)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 process sugars, flours, milk powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in food processor for 15 seconds to combine. add butter and vanilla and pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal. freeze in zipper-lock bag for up to 2 months.
