Ice Cream Cake With Vanilla Wafers

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (10 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 gallon ice cream (we use vanilla, softened)

Recipe

  • 1 grease 13x9 pan.
  • 2 crush vanilla wafers, mix with melted butter (reserve 1 cup for topping).
  • 3 press cookie crumbs in greased pan.
  • 4 melt chocolate chips and combine evap. milk and salt.
  • 5 pour over crust, freeze until firm (about 20 min.).
  • 6 spread softened ice cream over chocolate layer, top with remaining cookie crumbs.
  • 7 freeze until firm.
