Gingerbread

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 15
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup dark karo syrup
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Recipe

  • 1 grease and flour and 9 x 13 pan.
  • 2 make sour milk by adding 1 tsp of vinegar to a cup of milk.
  • 3 mix all ingredients together and put into the pan.
  • 4 bake at 350° until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 30 minutes.
