Fresh Gingerbread Dump Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated & packed & rounded
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

Recipe

  • 1 throughly grease 2 8" or 9" cake tins.
  • 2 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 3 mix melted butter and sugars,.
  • 4 add vanilla, beated eggs and spices.
  • 5 mix in baking soda, buttermilk and corstarch.
  • 6 fold in flours.
  • 7 pour into prepared pans.
  • 8 bake for about 45 minutes or until done.
  • 9 (can be done in a 10" tube pan for 65 to 70 minutes.).
