Matzoh Brei

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 sheet matzohs
  • 1 egg
  • butter
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • hot water

Recipe

  • 1 break matzos in a large bowl.
  • 2 pour hot water over them.
  • 3 after a couple of minutes, pour and squeeze out the surplus water.
  • 4 add cinnamon and egg and mix well.
  • 5 melt a little butter in a frying pan.
  • 6 make small flat cakes of the mixture in the butter.
  • 7 flip them when it starts getting crusty underneath.
  • 8 cook through until well done but still soft.
  • 9 serve immediately, with brown sugar sprinkled on top.
